Sunday 11th November - Recovery Day 4

Here are some photos that were taken this morning. As you can see, the swelling is not too bad and I don't seem to have any bruising yet. The small pieces of tape on either cheek are from where very small incisions were made to put the pins in for the lower plates. I'm told that there should be no scar from these when the tape finally comes off.

My mood is very upbeat today. I'm up, dressed and enjoying spending a fairly normal Sunday at home. I'm even beginning to master the drooling ;-)

Hi Gen - so glad you are making such a good recovery and seem so much better already - although your face does look big it does not look like a potato so chin up! Am hoping to come and see you sometime next week - will depend on how Teds crazy schedule works out! Glad you have a blog though so can monitor progress. Keep up with the positive mental attitude. xxx C

Thanks both for your encouraging comments and positive vibes. It's definitely a mind over matter thing....I'm not sure that foxy is the adjective, but I can definitely live with looking like I've eaten all the pies for a little while if I end up with the desired results :-)

Hi gen, you look all swolen and much better than I thought after such a big op, bit worried you are posting things up at 4.54am though!

Keep well give that new jaw of yours a decent rest!

Hi Geggy! Wow! I feel so much better for seeing you and reading about the op. You certainly look healthy and nowhere near as swollen and bruised as I was imagining (like you I tend to think the worse so pleasantly surprised!) I think you will definitely be ready for our little shopping outing on 24th. Just worried about weight.....!!!! Can't wait to see you. Got a beautiful photo of you and Jem by the way which I will forward to you via email over next couple of days. Loads of love from us all in sunny (not!) Cumbria xxxx
